This prayer guide is designed to help you create the space in your daily rhythm to reflect on and pray through the texts and themes introduced each week in the worship service and message.

Over the next 5 weeks, starting February 9th, both kids and adults will be learning the same themes as we focus on For the One. To support your family’s journey, we’ve created a Family Activity & Discussion Guide designed for children in 5th grade and under.
Each week, the guide includes three key components: an activity to introduce the theme to your kids, a Bible passage to read or watch together, and a conversation starter to help you engage with your kids on that week's topic.

This guide is designed to be used in preparation for your commitment to For the One on March 9th. Gather with your family, friends or small groups & work through our Commitment Discussion Guide together.
How is this different than my tithe?
During this 2-year initiative, we will continue to offer ministry for our church family and outreach to our community. Because of this, we ask that your For the One giving be over and above your regular giving.
Is this in addition to my regular giving?
We invite you to pray as you consider your generosity to For the One. We are trusting God to move powerfully through this campaign, and prayer is essential. Take time to reflect on your own heart and ask God how He is leading you in your generosity. We have a special prayer event scheduled prior to Commitment Sunday, and we invite you to be a part of it as welcome together in unity and faith!
What if I have never given to Harvester before?
For the One is a call to surrender and generosity for everyone at Harvester Christian Church. If you have never given before, this is your chance to start with committed giving. We really hope you will.
What happens if I'm unable to complete my giving commitment?
We understand circumstances may arise that could prevent you from completing your two-year commitment. If that's the case, please know that who you are is more important to us than what you do for the church.
How do I distinguish my For the One donations from my regular giving?
Since your For the One contributions go above and beyond your regular giving, please help us differentiate between the two by doing one of the following:
- Choose the For the One Fund when giving online.
- Write "For the One" in the memo line of a separate check.
- Indicate your For the One giving on a giving envelope.
Additionally, you can set up recurring online contributions to this giving fund for more convenience.
